Tennessee Smoky mountains feature some of the richest natural resources and animal species.  The Great Smoky Mountains National park is the nation’s only FREE  park and is a wonder to explore.

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park has over 10,000 different species of flora and fauna identified within its boundaries and contributes its varied resources to the diverse habitats ranging from spruce-fir forests to temperate deciduous forests.

Recreation abounds in the Great Smoky Mountains. There are over 800 miles of designated trail, self-guided auto tours, several cultural heritage sites and abundant wildlife within the park. Because of the Park’s popularity and being surrounded by cities filled with attractions, the Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited National Park averaging over 9 million visitors per year.
